My name is Megan De Waal, I am 15 years old and have been riding for 9 years.

The reason I fell in love with riding is the bond you can create between you and a horse, ever since I was little I have always dreamed of riding in the Olympics and owning my own yard for disabled children.

After riding for 7 years I finally got my own horse, her name is Lingari, she is a 12 year old thoroughbred and is the sweetest horse I have ever met.We are currently jumping 1m but hoping to be jumping 1.10s next year.

Horse riding has thought me a lot, it’s thought me that to go anywhere in life you need to do the work and put in the effort to succeed.
